Today’s Recipe: How to make Incredible Turmeric Tea – Summer – Haridradi Peya

To make Turmeric tea for summer, here is the recipe:

 

IngredientsTurmeric tea :-

Fresh sliced Turmeric slices of 4 inch turmeric

(for best results prefer fresh turmeric always, if not available then use 1 spoon of turmeric powder)

Cinnamon (Dalchini) – 3-4 inch unbroken

Thyme (ajwain) – 1 tablespoon – soaked 1 hour in water.

Cumin (Jeera) – 1 spoon unbroken

Ginger paste with peel – 1 tsp.

Stevia Leaves (Dry or Fresh)

Curry leaves – a handful – 25-30 gm

Mint Leaves (Pudina) – a handful – 25-30 gm

& a jug of water approx. 1 & 1/2 to 2 liter.

 

 

Method / Directions & Preparation : –

Step 1

Now Take a pan a add water to boil.

Add spices in that boiling water.

Now !

Cover the lid & keep it on simmer i.e. very low flame.

Let it boil for 10-15 min approx.

Step 2

Now Add all leaves of stevia, curry & mint in same pan along with spices.

Let it boil for more 10 min.

Let it boil on simmer.

Now check if half quantity of water is left then

off flame & strain that stock in a bottle & refrigerator.

You may drink that stock as it is (lukewarm) in the adequate quantity of maximum 200 ml to 300 ml in a day.

That will definitely help you to increase your metabolic rate.

 

 

Suggestions :-

To infuse extract of all ingredients is our motive not to evaporate water fast, so boil it on very low flame & cover the lid as maximum as possible.

Always prefer a steel strainer to filtrate the solution, do not use a plastic strainer as that is not good for health.

Do not throw away spices, reboil them in 1 liter of water on simmer to make decoction, mix & combine with previous stock to consume when 1/3 is left.

Do not throw away spices, use them to cleanse your body & hair while bathing.

Keep this decoction in the freezer for everyday use upto 2-3 days.

Drink this turmeric tea along with or 15-30 min after every meal for minimum one month. You may take it at room temperature or make it lukewarm before take it.

You could add lemon juice in it if you are going to take it before meal.

For best results prefer fresh turmeric always, if not available then use 1 spoon of turmeric powder, You may use dry turmeric slices instead are easily available in market.
